Tropical Storm Nate Predicted to Hit Area This Weekend
Today Tropical Storm Nate has shifted further south which means there will be a greater impact on Gwinnett County.
According to the National Weather Service, the storm is expected to cross Georgia along the I-85 corridor and will be near metro Atlanta Sunday afternoon to early Monday morning.
What this means:
-- The main hazard will be 50 mph wind gusts in our area. We may get up to 6 inches of rain between 8 a.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Monday.
-- The strong winds may cause downed trees, power outages and debris.
-- Tornadoes are possible.
