Fall is in the Air - Time to Keep Roof and Gutters Clean
Now that we have said good-bye to summer, it's time to prepare for the change in our weather. Fall is here - the leaves and pine needles are falling.
Per City code roof drains, gutters and downspouts need to be maintained in good repair and free from obstruction. The gutters on your home are responsible for diverting rainwater from the roof and siding. However, if your gutters are clogged with dead leaves, pine needles and other outdoor debris this can cause the water to back up in the gutter.
When this happens, many problems can result including water creeping up under the roof shingles, leaks in the ceiling and having entire sections of the gutter system sag due to the increased weight. Inspecting and keeping your roof and gutters clean and clear can help you avoid possible costly repairs.
