Lazy Dog Restaurant Opens at Town Center

Post Date:08/08/2019 2:01 PM

On Wednesday, Aug. 8, city and community leaders celebrated the opening of Peachtree Corners’ newest Town Center restaurant, Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. It is the California-based business’ first location to open in Georgia.

Diners will feel like they’ve stepped into a mountain lodge when they enter the new eatery which is located near the entrance to the Town Center. The interior features a large fireplace, exposed wooden beams, western-themed artwork and a chandelier crafted from logs from Aspen trees. Outside, the open-air patio has plenty of seating – and includes a fire pit surrounded by comfortable seats. Dogs on leashes are welcome on the patio.

The menu favorites include bacon wrapped bison meatloaf, campfire pot roast, wok-fired calamari, seared ahi tuna salad, and an array of burgers, sandwiches and salads. Desserts including peach-raspberry pie, butter cake and banana pudding.

Lazy Dog is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and offers a separate weekend brunch menu with dishes such as Bananas Foster French Toast, Chilaquiles and and a breakfast burger. The 8,000 square-foot restaurant has seating for 400 diners and includes multiple flat-screen TVs in the bar and patio areas.

Councilmembers Weare Gratwick, Alex Wright, Lorri Christopher, Phil Sadd and Eric Christ were on hand to welcome the new eatery.

“We are happy to welcome Lazy Dog, it is a great addition to the city – and the Town Center,” said Weare Gratwick, Mayor Pro Tem. “It will undoubtedly be a favorite place to dine in Peachtree Corners.”

The first Lazy Dog restaurant debuted in 2003 in Huntington Beach, Calif. Today there are over 30 locations throughout California, Colorado, Illinois, Nevada, Texas – and now Georgia.  The company has plans to open an additional 8-10 new locations in the state said Nick Munaweera, general manager for the Peachtree Corners restaurant.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is located at 5224 Peachtree Parkway; telephone, 470-735-4501. The hours of operation are: Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. – midnight, Saturday-Sunday, 9 a.m. – midnight. Weekend brunch is served Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, visit Lazy Dog’s website.
