Community Meeting on the Future of Law Enforcement in Peachtree Corners
📅 Date: Thursday, September 18, 2025
🕖 Time: 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Peachtree Corners City Hall, 310 Technology Parkway
Building on the May 8 Kick-Off Meeting
In May, the City of Peachtree Corners hosted a community meeting to begin an important conversation about the future of law enforcement in our city. That first session presented the results of a comprehensive Police Analysis & Staffing Study, which evaluated the feasibility and projected costs of forming a city police department compared with continuing our current service arrangement with Gwinnett County Police. The study also reviewed workload, crime levels, budgetary considerations, comparative models, and the advantages and disadvantages of a county versus city police department.
What This Meeting Will Cover
• Joint presentation by City Manager Brian Johnson and Chief Marshal Edward Restrepo
• Summary of public comments, emails, and survey feedback
• New and updated public safety information
• Open Q&A Session
