Georgia Author Carole Townsend, author of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, the History of an Innovative and Remarkable City will be holding a book signing event in Peachtree Corners at Swoozie’s in the Forum Shopping Center at 5131 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 1015, on Saturday, October 22nd from 11AM to 2PM.
Townsend was named 2022 Georgia Author of the Year in the history category by the Georgia Writers Association the 2022 Whitworth-Flanigan Author of the Year by the Gwinnett Historical Society and for her work covering the history of Peachtree Corners.
Books will be available at Swoozie’s during the event. Those who have already obtained copies of the award-winning publication can also participate by bringing their copies with them to the location.
Carole Townsend has been a newspaper journalist and columnist in metropolitan Atlanta for nearly 20 years. In 2011, her first book was published, and she has written and published five more since then. In 2017, her fourth book, BLOOD IN THE SOIL, earned her the distinction of FINALIST for Georgia Author of the Year in the detective/suspense category. Her fifth and sixth books are heavily researched history books, one detailing the history of the beautiful, tech-savvy Georgia city of Peachtree Corners, and the last unraveling the real story behind the Atlanta Braves’ surprising move from Fulton County, GA, to Cobb County, GA.
