The history of our community has been captured in the city’s first history book titled Peachtree Corners, the History of an Innovative and Remarkable City 1777-2020.

The 230-page coffee table-style book by well-known author Carole Townsend is filled with stories of long ago and numerous historical photographs that add to the story of the community’s rich past.

Townsend was named 2022 Georgia Author of the Year in the history category by the Georgia Writers Association and the 2022 Whitworth-Flanigan Author of the Year by the Gwinnett Historical Society for her work covering the history of Peachtree Corners.

Journey with the early settlers through the eyes of long-time residents who recall farm life, and read of the modern-day transformation that began in the 1970s when Georgia Tech engineer and developer Paul Duke began purchasing land for Technology Park and the surrounding community.

Cost is $29.95 (plus tax and processing fee.)

Purchase your book online and pick up your book at City Hall, 310 Technology Parkway Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
