Due to cutbacks in the airline industry after 9/11, he moved back to Augusta where he operated his own design and production company.

In 2002, Louis made a move to Greenville, North Carolina to become a high school English teacher. While teaching, he also served as the Yearbook Advisor, Newspaper Consultant and Golf Coach. In late 2004, Louis moved back to Augusta to take a job as the Director of Marketing for a medical device company. In 2008, realizing how much he missed the education field, he took a job with the Richmond County School System serving as their Director of Public Information.

Following the birth of his son, Ayden, in March of 2012, Louis moved to Florida and served as the Public Information Manager for Walton County until September of 2021. In his spare time, Louis can be found on the golf course, attending his son’s sporting events, attending community events and supporting UGA athletics.  Go Dawgs.
