Eric Christ

A resident of Peachtree Corners since 1998, business executive Eric Christ was first elected to the City Council in May 2016. Prior to joining the City Council, Christ served as Vice Chairman of the City’s Zoning Board of Appeals for four years.

Christ’s 25-year career includes general management, marketing, and product management positions with leading information technology companies such as Verizon, McKesson, and Harbinger. He currently consults with early-stage technology companies on their product strategy.

Christ is a member of the board of directors of the Atlanta Technology Executive Roundtable and previously served on the boards of the Healthcare Administrative Technology Association and the National Association for the Support of Long-term Care.

He has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where he was a Robert Woodruff Fellow and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma national business honor society. Christ also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double-major in marketing and international management from Georgetown University. He is a graduate of both Leadership Atlanta and the Atlanta Regional Leadership Institute.

Born in Minnesota, Christ moved to Atlanta in 1991. He lives in Neely Farm, with his wife, Maureen McIvor, a technology executive and a fitness instructor at the Robert D. Fowler YMCA. Their two daughters attended Gwinnett County Public Schools and graduated from Norcross High School.

Christ serves on the board of the Norcross High School Foundation for Excellence and co-chaired the fundraising campaign for the Manning Playground at the Fowler YMCA. For over 15 years, he has participated in the Goizueta Business School mentor program, coaching MBA students as they transition from the academic to the professional environment.
